Rebecca Swindell
Rebecca lives and works in Bristol, UK where she is a studio holders at BV. She works with drawing, painting, installation and community Projects. Her work is narrative and seeks to convey and explore subjects such as human emotion, history, politics and economics.
She is drawn to personal accounts and life stories. She takes what may be considered mundane objects or ordinary places as her source material because of what they can reveal about people, their history and the events that have shaped their lives and the landscapes they live in.
She exhibits both regionally and nationally and has been selected for the Trinity Wharf Drawing Prize formally the Jerwood Drawing Prize three times.
